Tony Powell, LMT

Tony was born in the Canary Islands and grew up all over the world. He trained as an internationally competitive gymnast and spent nine and a half years in Germany. After graduating high school there, he returned to the U.S. and joined the Marine Corps. Over the course of 13 years, he served in multiple different places, some of them combat theaters. While in the Marines, Tony achieved a B.S. in Linguistics and a B.A. in French from The University of Colorado Boulder and is fluent in 6 additional languages. After being honorably discharged from the Marine Corps, he worked as a gymnastics coach until his son was old enough to start school, at which point he also returned to school. Tony attended the Denver School of Massage Therapy in 2009 and has been practicing massage professionally since graduating in March of 2010. He has worked as a therapist in the CU athletic department, in various chiropractic clinics, in a spa, and in his own private practice. He is passionate about health and wellness and finds immense satisfaction in facilitating healing through massage therapy. His expertise lies in the areas of deep tissue massage and rehabilitative therapy. He is also certified in Myofascial Manipulation. When not practicing massage therapy, Tony enjoys spending time with his son, snowboarding and playing guitar.
